Thank you from Gombakomba Primary School

In mid-October, you may remember we appealed for £100 in donations to support Gombakomba Primary School in Zimbabwe, who had been forced to expand a lunch club due to a drought hitting the Mutare area of the country. The school was providing plain boiled maize and didn't have enough cutlery or crockery for the influx of children they needed to support.

As BBC News reports around 25% of Zimbabweans will receive food aid from the United Nations' World Food Programme to avert a hunger crisis, we are pleased to share photographs of Gombakomba Primary School with their new provisions that your donations enabled!

Thank you to our partner Mwana Trust for arranging the distribution of the cutlery, crockery and additional cooking items to provide the children at Gombakomba Primary School with a more nutritious lunch. And thank you to our supporters for your kind donations.

If you still wish to make a contribution to Zimbabwean schools to help with food provisions during this period of drought, you can choose to set-up a monthly donation or make a one-off donation. Please quote ‘Zimbabwe Drought’ in your donation message. Thank you.
