2.6 Challenge Success!
On 16th April, we invited our supporters to take part in The 2.6 Challenge on 26th April: a special fundraising event created by organisers of some of the biggest mass-participation sports events to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities.
It’s less than 3 weeks after the event and we’re delighted to confirm our wonderful #TeamACF fundraisers did not disappoint!
From Allie’s 2.6 mile walk on her treadmill… backwards; to Regina & Dave’s combined 26.2 km cycle; to Niamh’s 26 star jumps; to William’s 26 laps on his bike; to Melanie and Tamsyn’s 26 planks each; to Lauren, Abbie & Ellie’s mile run each day for 26 days; to Paul’s 2.6 mile run each day for 10 days; to Sandra’s 62 minutes of dancing; to John’s 2.6 mile walk; to Victoria & David’s 26 km walk between them; to Mike’s 2.6 mile run; to Seb’s 26.2 minutes of running; to Dan’s 2.6 ascents of his favourite race’s famous hill… on his stairs; to Alexander’s myriad of 26-based challenges. You are all super stars! ⭐️⭐️
Take a look at this short video to see what some of our fundraisers got up to.
At the time of writing, they have raised just short of £2,500... wouldn't it be amazing if we could make that an apt £2,600?! If you would like to make a contribution to our 2.6 Challenge fundraising, you can click here.
Enormous thanks once again to all our fundraisers and supporters who have supported this brilliant initiative. We're so very grateful.
