Buy A Book - Christmas 2021

Our 2021 Christmas Appeal is here! This Christmas, we would love you to buy a book for a young child born into poverty in Tanzania or Kenya.

At just £5 each, we're aiming to provide 250 new picture books to schools and pre-schools in Tanzania and Kenya... and who doesn't love to receive a new book?!

In learning environments with limited educational resources, we're excited our partners want to give the gift of reading to children in schools and nurseries already supported by our work. Books are such an important resource and as well teaching children to read, they:

  • Encourage creativity

  • Provide escapism

  • Aid the development of concentration and memory

  • Teach life skills in a child-friendly way

For every £5 you donate, our partners will buy a book that is culturally and age-matched to the children they work with.

While planning your shopping this Christmas, we would be delighted if you were able to buy as many books through this appeal as you can afford and help give the gift of reading.
