Land Scam - reminder

Further to our news article from 2nd March 2021, we have been made aware of another spate of ‘scam’ text messages circulating in Kenya advising that someone is looking to purchase land on behalf of African Children’s Fund. We do NOT know these individuals (going by the names of ‘Dr Winsley Gray’, 'Ellie Brooks', ‘Sarah Earley’, ‘Emma Poel’, ‘Bella Ranui Smith’, ‘Dr Leslie Smith’, ‘Dr Carol Thoss’, ‘Dr Carly Smith’ and ‘Dr Pamela Packer’ and others) and they do NOT represent us.

Once again, we can reiterate that African Children’s Fund is NOT buying land in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda or Zimbabwe. Nor would we ever send unsolicited messages.

Should you receive any communication to this effect, please do not engage with the messages. If appropriate, please report them to your local authorities.
