Virgin Money London Marathon 2019

We are delighted to confirm that we have been allocated one place for the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon through the event's Charity Ballot and we are looking for someone to take on the challenge for us!

On Sunday 28th April 2019, you could join over 40,000 other runners in Blackheath or Greenwich Park to line up for the start of the 2019 London Marathon. The iconic 26.2 mile route takes in many of the city's famous landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament before finishing outside Buckingham Palace on The Mall.

As well as providing you with an African Children's Fund branded technical t-shirt to wear during the event and full fundraising support, Dan Wymer - a UK Athletics qualified endurance running coach - will be on hand to provide our successful applicant with bespoke marathon training tips and hints, and to answer any questions you might have along the way. In return, we are asking you to commit to raising a minimum of £1,500 in sponsorship.

For many runners, this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to take part in one of the city's biggest sporting spectacles. If you would like to represent African Children's Fund during the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon, please register your interest by completing this information form. Please note, we only have one place available and we would encourage you to register even if you have entered the main ballot. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions by emailing us or by calling 01993 705272.

Good luck with your application! We'll announce the lucky recipient of our place in October.
