Calling All Dog Lovers!

For the first time, African Children’s Fund is excited to be participating in this year’s Wagathon fundraising challenge which takes place throughout August in celebration of National Dog Day.

To participate in this virtual event, simply complete a 9k walk or run with your canine companion during August. You choose the day, the venue and your own fundraising target!

Simply create your fundraising page here, share it with your family and friends, and encourage them to give generously. If they have a pup of their own, perhaps they’d like to join you?

If you wish, why not mix the challenge up to suit you and your favourite furry friends?! You can split the 9ks over several days, or maybe you want to fit in 9 9ks throughout the month. The choice is entirely yours.

Every 9p you raise will provide a school porridge meal for a child in Kenya. That means for every £9 you raise, 100 children will receive a mug of porridge at a school Porridge Club, so they can go to school rather than having to work, scavenge or beg for food.
